A topic that I found interesting was multimodal play. I mostly found it interesting because I'm able to relate to it in the sense that it is very similar to my schools view on education. The overall idea is that we can combined literacy, play, and what children are mostly interested in. Lankshear & Knobel (2013) stated that a challenge for educators is that they need to be flexible and utilize quick thinking when it comes to their curriculum. A challenge that I face in my classroom of special ed kindergarten when it comes to the use of digital media is the concept of a young child ages 5-6 to grasp the concept of learning on a phone, tablet or computer. A concept of learning that is very overlooked by administration due to its "play" concept is digital learning.
